Once again AltLinc ventured to the Zing comedy night, as they so frequently do on Mondays.
The evening started out lively as a new MC, Mr Paul McGarrity took to the stage. His entertaining wit and charming banter kept the audience lively and eagerly anticipating the next act to come onto the stage. While he might have seemed cruel at times with audience participation it was all in moderation as the laughs just kept on coming.

The first comic of the night was Athena Kugblenu. Her laid back attitude only served to make her jokes funnier as she touched upon issues of race in her comedy, although being a bar filled with middle class white students some of the humour was lost.
There should be a GCSE in including a signature in emails. Spent most of day getting phone numbers using Colombo style methods

Sean Downie took to the stage following Athena. The New Zealand comic hit first with a little dark humour to end the second half but being a room full of mature adults the laughs were well timed and not inappropriate, although I’m definitely going to hell for laughing at some of the jokes.

The second to last act to come on was Samuel Pauly, a younger comic whose jokes were aimed more towards the Harry Potter crowd but were ones which still provided a laugh even you weren’t the biggest fan of the wizard. His faster pace set a different tone than Sean and Athena but it meant for more rapid jokes and quicker laughs all night long.

Our final act for the night was Mr Del Strain, a Scottish comic. His banter with the audience kept everyone on their toes as the audience looked away whenever their eyes met his as if to say “please not me.” His streetwise comedy really stood out, especially when he pulled out the gun.
