From Saturday the 7th of December until Sunday the 8th the Museum of Lincolnshire life will play host to a special living history weekend based around Victorian Christmas traditions.

Members of the museum will dress in full costume to show visitors just how much the celebration of Christmas has evolved since the Victorian era.

Margret Sutton, the Business support assistant at the museum, told Alt-Linc that the purpose of the event is to really “celebrate how Christmas would have been in Victorian times.”

The event will be taking place from 10am until 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, with last admission being at 3:30pm.

“Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy what is on show,” Margret told us.  “Children can enjoy the crafts we’ll have and even visit Santa.”

Entry is free for the most part although a small charge to visit Santa is required.
