Who’s that we see leading a rabble of comedians our way? It’s only next weeks Zing Comedy Club headliner Lenny Peters #LincolnComedy.

Lenny’s been a professional comedy actor for over fifteen years and has appeared in a number of TV comedies including “Life As We Know It” with Richard Wilson and “Fifteen Stories High” with Sean Lock. But on 20th January he’s appearing for free at Lincoln’s LPAC, so of course being the regular reviewers at the night AltLinc wanted to see what they were letting themselves in for and we asked him a few interrogatory questions…

1.What is your full name?
My full name is Leonard Peters, but only Government officials call me that, everyone else calls me Lenny , no one ever calls me Len.

2. So Len, how old are you?
I’m at an age where if I was a woman you would not consider it polite to ask. So in the interests of equality I can’t answer. But I am younger than I look and older than I behave.

Not too young though eyy Len…

3. Where were you born?
I was born in Muswell Hill, North London.

4. Who is your inspiration?
My inspiration is my Son. I also have a soft spot for the late great Nelson Mandela as we had the same birthday. ( Different years )

5. How did you get into comedy?
A friend of mine did a comedy course and when he told me I thought “Hey I’m funnier than you” so I tried it too. (Nothing wrong with a healthy bit of competition Lenny, we agree)

6. Where was your most memorable performance, and what made it so memorable?
My favourite  show was my last solo hour show at last years Edinburgh Fringe. It was a great crowd and it all fell into place and flowed perfectly . When you have gig like that you are high for days after.

7. Would you rather have a permanent milk mustache or have accordion legs?
Could I have an accordion moustache that actually plays gypsy music ? That would be cool.

Check out Lenny and lots of other comedians at the first free Zing Comedy Club of 2014.
