The Engine Shed on the University of Lincoln’s campus will play host to Judy’s Vintage Fair on Saturday the 15th of February. The Engine Shed has hosted the event before and now it will be returning to offer Vintage clothing for those with an interest or are keen on the trend.
AltLinc talked to Emily Hughes, the Brand and Event Manager of the fair to find out what it was exactly.
1. What is Judy’s Vintage Fair?
The home of affordable, quality vintage, Judy’s brings together the UK’s top-drawer traders to 30 cities nationwide. Featuring 60 years of stock to knock your socks off, expect fashion through to homewares, antiques and collectibles, crafts and accessories plus a whole host more. All is affordable, all is one-off, all waiting to be worn again.
2. How did the idea for the event come about?
Judy started the business back in 2002. She was frustrated that she couldn’t find affordable vintage in one place…so began creating a winning formula for the fairs, sourcing amazing vintage traders from around the UK, checking them for affordable, incredible stock and getting them all together, if only for a day!
3. Is Lincoln the only city that it is hosted in?
We host our events in 30 cities around the UK, spanning from Edinburgh to Ipswich – we are always travelling around the country bringing our best vintage traders with us.
4. Who can get involved?
We are always looking for exciting new vintage traders, we love seeing new businesses grow! If you are a vintage trader and want to have a stall at one of our events then pop over to our website.
A show for anyone with an interest and something that might just get me the leather jacket I’ve been searching for. AltLinc will be there this Saturday, let us know if you’re coming by tweeting us at @alternativelincoln with #lincolnvintage
